Ancient Greek engineer, Archimedes, famously said, "give me a lever long enough… and I will move the world." He meant, of course, that technology can give an ordinary person the ability (or leverage) to do extraordinary things. What if you could give your children that leverage achieve extraordinary things? It turns out you can, by giving them the ability to code.

A recent survey of C-level executives and developers across 30+ industries, compiled by Stripe — a Silicon Valley payments company worth over $10 billion — stated that "collectively, developers have the ability to raise global GDP by $3 trillion over the next 10 years." Clearly, the future business value of people who can code cannot be understated.

Last month, we wrote about how Rustenburg Girls Junior School in Cape Town, has been running the Code4Kids Classroom program to supplement their IT lessons. Code4Kids is an innovative course to teach 8-14 year-olds the fundamental coding skills that will help them navigate the fast-changing world that awaits them outside of school.

Today, we're launching an early-access program for Code4Kids Private. In Code4Kids Private, lessons are conducted online, inside SkillUp's innovative Lessonspace. These lessons are designed for individuals, and are focused not just on coding literacy, but also provide deeper dives into concepts than with Code4Kids Classroom.

If you're interested in enrolling your kids in the online Code4Kids Private course or bringing Code4Kids Classroom to your school, fill out this form to get started.
